    The candidate will be responsible for technical solutions development to meet DoD future requirements in the areas of cyber security, systems engineering, networking, integration, and SATCOM architectures utilizing both current and emerging technologies.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Serve as overall technical expert on all aspects of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) providing technical direction, interpretation, alternatives and new solutions to resolve customer challenges.
    • Lead technical efforts to develop innovative and creative solutions to meet customer needs leveraging current and emerging capabilities, and business/engineering best practices. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives
    • Work closely with Business Developers and Capture Teams during the Sales Stage providing briefings/ demonstrations to Government requirements owners and Acquisition Officials
    • Conduct technical whiteboard sessions and discussions with senior government and corporate officials promoting new solutions and capabilities
    • Apply expert knowledge, analysis and research to solve especially complex problems relating to the lifecycle of the DODIN
    • Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects as required

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret security clearance required. Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance required
    • Master's Degree in a technical discipline required. A PhD is preferred but not required
    • 10+ years of experience working in the defense industry required
    • IAT Level II or III certification(s)
    •  Certifications in one or more of the following: PMP, ITILv3, OCP or above, CISSP or other cyber security certification
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with the technologies and subsystems of the DODIN
    • Comprehensive understanding and demonstrated experience in the application of communications/ information systems/ cyber technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field
    • Independent thinking - with minimal supervision, determines and develops approach to solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
    • Demonstrated DoD proposal writing experience
    • Expert knowledge and experience of the DODIN technical environment with clear understanding of the multiple subsystems, components, vendor products, and their purpose and interrelationship with other DODIN subsystems
    • Excellent technical writing skills to support concept and solution development, and technical proposal writing
    • Excellent oral presentation skills with high comfort level in directly interfacing with and briefing senior Government officials and engineers
    • Expertise is in one or more of the following technology areas: systems architecture, cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, systems integration, software development methodologies, security engineering, communications and/or network systems management, and/or defensive cyber operations methodologies
    • Exposure to and/or keen interest in one or more of the following emerging technologies: SecDevOps, zero trust model, wireless transport (5G), assured identity, machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and/or commercial solutions for classified (CSfC)
    • Minimum of 20% travel required
    • The location of the position is negotiable between Springfield, VA and Ft. Meade, MD
