The candidate will assist in the creation and maintenance of technical, logistic, and programmatic documentation for a range of government and commercial customers. The candidate will be comfortable taking the lead on a task or effort and making its success their personal responsibility. Capable of juggling multiple complex documentation tasks with little or no oversight, while also working effectively within a documentation team to support varying workloads. Actively seek ways to improve deliverable quality and be unafraid to accept new challenges or suggest new approaches. Eager to learn about the systems they support, performing independent research when they encounter job-relevant concepts they do not understand.
Must be familiar with DoD technical writing requirements and have knowledge of applicable military standards, specifications and test practices
Must be comfortable with frequent interaction with site government and contractor personnel as it pertains to the development of technical documentation including user manuals, test plans and procedures, specifications, white papers and equipment and/or systems training materials and technology description documents
Must be able to develop high quality software and engineering documentation for its intended audience. Software and engineering documentation would include but not limited to Software Development Plan, Software Requirement Specification, Software Detailed Design Document, Software Test Plan/Procedure/Report, Military Standards, User Guide
Must be able to grasp complex technical concept and translate into easily understandable documents
Adept at using Microsoft Office and high proficiency in English writing skills
