    The candidate will write, edit, proofread, and research duties in connection with the preparation of Technical Manuals (TMs) and technical publications on the theory, installation, operation and maintenance of assigned systems. Develop and maintain US Army and Joint Electronic Technical Manuals (ETM), Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM), Interactive Software User Manuals (ISUM), Interactive Software Administrator Manuals (ISAM) and Installation Kit Technical Bulletins Manuals for US Army LOGSA Authentication and Army Publication Directorate (APD) distribution in IETM format, IAW MIL-STD-40051-1C, and ETM (Portable Document Format) format IAW MIL-STD-40051-2C. Verify knowledge of subject by interviewing workers engaged in developing new products and services or in making improvements, observe performance of experiments and methods of production, refer to blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings and notes, trade and engineering journals, rewrites of articles, bulletins, manuals, or similar publications. Experience in conducting equipment publications contractor Start of Work meetings and In-Process Reviews (IPRs). Track status of multiple projects. 


    • Active Secret security clearance required
    • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
    • 5 years of technical writing experience required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience developing ETM, ITEM, ISUM, ISAM and technical bulletins
    • Experience in editing and submitting draft manuals and advising contractors, coordinating/conducting data collection events, and guiding a project from inception through completion
    • Experience in planning/conducting Technical Publication verification events and logistics demonstrations on equipment using target audience Soldiers
    • Experience with technical writing and editing tools, DoD Technical Writing requirements and documentation
    • Minimum of 25% travel required

    Experience working in a CMMI Level 3 project/business environment a plus for all open positions. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance required.
