    Responsibilities

    US Citizenship and the ability to maintain a DoD security clearance required.

     

    The candidate will be primarily focused on developing and executing test plans, procedures, test cases for end to end verification and validation of ITC (Info Tech and Communications systems).

    • Testing documentation management: Producing test procedures reports per event and regularly producing progress reports. Documenting their analysis of test cases. Managing defect identification by documenting each resolution and final closure.
    • Commitment to process improvement and innovation: Developing new processes to expand test automation and improve automation methodologies. Developing repeatable, efficient solutions to ambiguous/under-defined problems. Driving innovation in testability of code. Participating actively in test-driven development activities and contributing to engineering efforts to solve complex engineering problems in tools and testing at all stages of development, from planning and organization to execution and delivery.
    • Day-to-day testing activities: Participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Unit Testing (UT), and Integration Testing (IT), Regression Testing (RT), Detailed Testing (DT), Operational Testing (OT), and Acceptance testing (AT). Performing test activities in a program consisting of waterfall and agile methodologies. Coordinating with engineers to prevent, report, and resolve defects. Monitoring and tracking resolution of defects. Defining, documenting, analyzing, performing, and interpreting tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Identifying functional problems and suggesting resolutions. 
    • Commitment to accountability: Ensuring testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Designing, monitoring, and analyzing quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status to isolate potential improvements and preempt future problems. Assisting in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required
    • BS Degree or higher in a relevant field, or relevant work experience

    • 10+ years of experience as a Test Engineer in testing systems at the component, integration and system level as well as writing test cases, procedures and test reports

    • Must be detail oriented, highly motivated individual, able to work independently or as part of a team

    • Must have understanding of full system lifecycle

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

    • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills that enable the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

    • Work takes place in a laboratory environment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Minimum of 25% travel required

    Experience working in a CMMI Level 3 project/business environment a plus for all open positions. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance required.
