    The candidate will serve as lead test engineer to conducted scientific testing of Electronic Trace Systems. Evaluate system compliance with requirements based on critical operational issues, critical technical parameters, procurement specifications, effectiveness and suitability for use in airport environments. Answer questions from TSIF customers. These include questions from senior TSA leaders about system capabilities, operator questions about unexpected system behavior/performance, and questions from other organizations about TSIF test methodology/results Represent TSIF test team during meetings/tours, be able to speak about the capabilities/limitations of their respective system(s), depict an understanding of system requirements, and test efforts associated with those systems 8. Represent the TSIF at IPT, SET, and other meetings as identified.




    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and a TSA suitability clearance required
    • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Engineering, Operations research, Mathematics, physical science or similar is preferred
    • 5 years of experience required
    • Must demonstrate an understanding of the underlying technology and the physical principles ETDs use to perform their functions. Must understand Ion Mobility Spectroscopy and other emerging detection technologies used in ETD systems.
    • Expert operator of Trace Detection Technologies (ETD/BLS).
    • Expert operator skills, and be able to accurately predict how machine/process changes would impact field operations.
    • Familiar with administrator-level system configuration and
      maintenance tasks.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and appropriately respond to audible and visual alarms in a lab environment.
    • Minimum of 5% travel required

    Experience working in a CMMI Level 3 project/business environment a plus for all open positions. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance required.
