    Responsibilities

    US Citizenship and the ability to maintain a DoD security clearance required.

     

    The candidate will serve as the on-site senior RQ-7B aircraft operator, both vehicle & payload operations, supporting New Equipment Training (NET) events and other US Army training requirements. Subject Matter Expert for operator-related issues. Primary duties will be to act as a NET instructor to administer the US Army approved POI for unit transition from RQ-7Bv1 to the v2 system. This will require extensive travel, both domestically and some internationally to support the full schedule of training exercises. Also, the candidate will be required to participate in site surveys and review conferences with customers. Duties include: Platform and Flight instruction / emplacement / displacement / inspection and replenishment of associated ground equipment / notation of logbooks and flight records. Will be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours during training events. Other duties as required by management.

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret security clearance required
    • 7+ years’ experience Army or Marine Corps aviation operations (military or civilian) highly desired
    • 3+ years’ experience as RQ-7B (v1 or v2) UAS Aircraft Operator (AO) or Aircraft Commander (military or civilian) required
    • 2+ years’ experience of flight operations manager/NCO required
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (3+ years Instructor Operator experience considered equivalent)
    • Military (NCO or greater) or equivalent civilian management/leadership training highly desired
    • Army Basic Instructor Training (ABIC) or equivalent is required
    • Current or prior currency as RQ-7Bv1 or RQ-7Bv2 AO required
    • Instructor Operator/Standardization Operator qualification is required
    • Additional desired certifications/currency: Gunner, or Fire Control Officer
    • Successful FAA Class II flight physical or military equivalent
    • World-wide deployment eligible (medical and dental)
    • Must have the ability to lift and carry 75 lbs for short distances
    • Basic computer skills are required
    • Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing, and possess strong leadership skills
