The candidate will serve as on-site senior RQ-7B maintainer supporting NET training to meet US Army requirements. Subject Matter Expert for maintenance-related issues. Performs platform instruction, hands on instruction, as well as quality assurance, quality control, and/or technical inspector roles. Participate in site surveys and review conferences with customers. Primary duties will require extensive travel, both domestically and some internationally to support the full schedule of training exercises. Monitors system health metrics to identify and mitigate issues impacting system performance. Will be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours during training events. Other duties as required by management.
Active Secret security clearance required
7+ years’ experience military aviation operations and/or maintenance (military or civilian) highly desired
3+ years’ experience as RQ-7B (v1 or v2) UAS maintenance technician (military or civilian) required
Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) qualification or equivalent experience required
2+ years’ experience as a Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), or Technical Inspector TI) (military or civilian) required
2+ years of maintenance leadership (military or civilian) experience required
Civilian quality management system (i.e. ISO 9001 or AS9100) experience desired
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required (2+ years RQ-7B (Shadow) Maintenance experience considered equivalent)
Military (NCO or greater) or equivalent civilian management/leadership training highly desired
Current or prior certification as RQ-7B (v1 or v2) QA / QC / TI required
Certification as RQ-7B (v1 or v2) maintenance technician - military or civilian - or other military UAS required
Current or prior certification Universal or Multi-Ground Control System maintenance (or equivalent) required
Aerospace & Powerplant (or Avionics) Certification desired
World-wide deployment eligible (medical and dental)
Must have the ability to lift and carry 75 lbs for short distances
Basic computer skills are required
Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers both verbally and in writing, and possess strong leadership skills
