The candidate will serve as an acquisition logistics analyst to the Army Emergency Management Program, providing oversight to the acquisition logistics strategy and sustainment of Army EM programs. Ensures acquisition program logistics and sustainment transition plans and procedures comply with regulatory standards. Provides logistical oversight to the EM Modernization and legacy protection programs and conducts program integration and coordination with OSD, Joint Staff, Army Staff, Army Commands, and other Services that manage EM programs. Manages the equipment readiness reporting. Manages a Life Cycle Management Plan between ASA(ALT) and Life Cycle Management Command and HQDA G-3/5/7. Prepares life cycle management cost estimates and serves as principle HQDA manager for programming of sustainment funding. Develops policies to synchronize protection efforts among the twelve protection related programs of the Army Protection Program. Must have a working knowledge of how the Army operates at the installation level, as well as how the Army is organized and runs, Must maintain the requisite knowledge to staff actions at the Department of the Army and Department of Defense level. Must be able to coordinate, facilitate and execute Army Protection Program forums, working groups and planning teams at the Action Officer, Colonel/GS15, and General Officer/Senior Executive Service (GO/SES)-level. Must be able to communicate at the Action Officer-level with Army Commands, Army Service Component Commands and Direct Reporting Units on current and emerging Protection topics.
