- Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum 7 years of experience in developing java applications required
- Strong working knowledge with 3-5 years demonstrated experience in a Cloud based DevOps environment
Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation to tackle projects with minimal oversight
Proven track record contributing as a senior technical member in the full life cycle (SDLC) of the software development process including requirement gathering, analysis, design, interface development and implementation of client/server, distributed applications using object oriented methodologies and RDBMS
Proven ability to dynamically troubleshoot issues in a production system including root cause analysis
Experience being on call for support for a production system, having to fix high visibility critical issues and dealing with the ensuing aftermath
Experience having unintentionally taken a major production system down, and have a good story to tell about it
Expertise in several J2EE technologies such as Servlets, Web Services
Experience with MySQL, SQL Server, NoSQL databases
Experience in MVC architecture, using Struts/Struts2, AJAX and Spring Framework with multiple design patterns
Experience with web/application servers (Apache/Tomcat)
Well versed in using XML/JSON and AJAX to create and interface with APIs
Some experience in Linux/Unix administration
Familiarity with security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption), SSL, SSO, SAML, web service proxies, firewalls and multi-protocol gateways
Awareness of best practices and operations in an always-up, always-available service
Enthusiasm for monitoring (health/risk/efficiency)
Ability to communicate risks and complicated technical issues to engineers and project managers
Desired: Experience working in a CMMI process oriented environment, Data science experience, Virtualization experience and hands-on skills with VMware
