The candidate will act as the chief technical adviser to the Technical government Lead in matters related to Client’s Radio SW. Understand and monitor Vendors’ SW Product Road-maps, to include the direction of future capabilities, and lead Engineering Review Boards. Understand the capability needs of the Army War-fighter and how the SW Defined Radios can meet those needs. Understand the current state of a Vendor’s radio SW, to include known issues and limitations, and understand and document the list of open Problem Reports, Trouble Tickets, or Change Request. Provide guidance to the Engineering Lead and Senior Test Personnel regarding the needs of SW testing required to verify PR and CR resolution for Close Out. Provide guidance and ship to more Junior SW Engineers. Support Technical Evaluation Boards, participate in Technical Interchange Meetings, review and comment on SW Design Descriptions, SW Version Descriptions, help develop and review SW Test Plans, analyze test data, support engineering test activities, and review / analyze requirements documents and other acquisition documents such as Capabilities Production Documents, Performance Requirement Documents as needed.
