The candidate will develop new products and technologies by bringing new ideas and solutions to our every day challenges and business opportunities. Additionally, this role is responsible for hardware engineering support for AASKI's existing fielded airborne products. Support for existing designs and products, includes troubleshooting in manufacturing and repair processes. Development projects include:  Developing next generation AASKI Airborne SATCOM products - this work includes electrical system design, component selection,  integration and troubleshooting, and involves working with external customers and vendors.  Customer solutions - includes hardware integration of AASKI products with a variety of mobile antennas and navigation units. The candidate will develop hardware solutions to meet specific customer requirements. Specify and qualify components to support the design, documentation, installation and test of customer driven solutions. Develop new hardware designs and support integration with AASKI developed software. Hardware integration of AASKI products with 3rd party mobile antennas and navigation units. Support existing hardware designs in the field. Develop manufacturing test plans and procedures.


  • Must have US Citizenship / Eligible for Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years working in product development and manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of RF, analog and digital design, development and troubleshooting
  • Thorough understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and able to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and design abilities
  • Minimum of 10% travel required
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with electrical engineering design tools
  • Preferred: Mobile VSAT technology experience, including modems, self-pointing antennas and Navigation units. Expertise in power supplies and grounding in mobile / airborne environments.Expertise designing equipment for DO-160 compliance. Mechanical design experience for packaging electronics.Experience with electrical and mechanical design tools

Experience working in a CMMI Level 3 project/business environment a plus for all open positions. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Security clearance required.
